Additional information

Terms of reference, transmission of terms of reference and list of EIA experts are uploaded in in the online application system by the assigned focal person.

Not all projects require an EIA. The focal person will advise on way forward after full assessment:
- Level 3: full EIA
- Level 2: partial EIA
- Level 1: non objection clearance (end of the process)

This step applies to outcome "Level 3": the focal person will send the terms of reference for the EIA study and a list of EIA experts to the applicant so that they can carry out the EIA study.

In case of outcome "Level 2", the applicant will receive a letter of approval and an environmental management plan with necessary guidelines.
If the outcome is "Level 1", the applicant will receive a letter of approval: "non objection clearance".
For Level 1 & 2, this will be the last step.
