This sub class of Permit shall be issued to a person accredited to Rwanda as a diplomat to represent his/her country.
Dependants who are the spouse, unmarried children up to 18 years of age or unmarried children aged between 18 and 25 years and in full time education.
Dependants who will be granted a permit are those who are recommended by the Rwandan Foreign Ministry.
A family member of a holder of diplomat permit may be allowed to work in Rwanda if he/she makes a request to the Director General. He/she shall be bound by the existing labor laws.
A diplomat posted to Rwanda will be permitted to bring a limited number of household staff to work in their residence. An application for a household staff member shall be accompanied by a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation recommending issue of a relevant permit to the staff member. Dependants of the household staff member shall not be permitted to work.
