Physical presence
of applicant or any other representative with thorough knowledge of the project and the site. Should be able to show the boundaries of the site and give details of the project.

Time frame

Complex sites may require more than one site visit.
Attention at counter: Min.   30mn - Max.   6h.
Waiting time until next step: Min.   1 day - Max.   15 days

Additional information

Site visits are an integral part of the screening process necessary to determine whether an environmental impact assessment is necessary. The client is informed on the date, time and any other arrangements for the site visit via a phone call by the assigned focal person.

Other stakeholders may join the team depending on the complexity of the project: representatives of Rwanda Environmental Management Authority, district environmental officers, land officers, etc.
