Additional information

The registration officer conducts a company name search to make sure that the proposed company name does not already exist. Company name search can also be done online at http://org.rdb.rw/inf/Public/Products/NameSearch.aspx. Although the office of the Registrar General opens from 07:00am to 17hrs, business registration documents can only be submitted until 15hrs.

With effect from the 17th of February 2014, the Office of the Registrar General commenced mandatory online registration for all businesses based in Kigali.

To facilitate smooth transition to this online system, the company registration office in RDB offers work spaces and free online help desk services to all for a 12 month period. Online registration remains free of charge.

The Certificate of Incorporation is obtained 6 hours after submission of the required documents.
